Facility Accreditation

In line with international practices, HMPSN has put in place a hyperbaric chamber accreditation policy that seeks to ensure the achievement of the following goals:

• All facilities are adequately staffed with appropriately-trained staff members;
• Only appropriate, safe and fit-for-purpose equipment is used;
• Facilities and equipment are maintained properly;
• Appropriate patient care and patient education practices are in place;
• Incident and accident investigation protocols have been accepted by all facilities; and that
• Hyperbaric facilities are capable of offering safe and effective treatments on an ongoing basis.
